Tucked along the western edge of Berkshire County, West Stockbridge borders Austerlitz and New Lebanon across the New York line, with Stockbridge just to the east. The Williams River winds through the center of town, and I-90 cuts a convenient path that makes West Stockbridge both quiet and easy to reach.

It’s a town with an arts-driven, slightly eclectic personality. You’ll find a local coffee roastery, independent galleries, longtime institutions, and one of the most active historical societies in the region. Roughly 1,300 full-time residents call West Stockbridge home, joined seasonally by about 400 second-home owners who come for the Berkshires’ slower pace.
