Community Resources and Amenities

• Otis has its own town beach on the shores of Big Pond.

• Otis Parks and Recreation runs the Otis Rec Center where residents can participate in exercise classes and workshops on such topics as painting and basket weaving.

• Otis, Becket, Sandisfield, and Tolland make up the Farmington River Regional School District.
  
  
• The district's only school is the Farmington River Elementary School, which serves students from pre-K through grade 6.

• In operation for more than 70 seassons, Otis Ridge Ski Camp is among the oldest operating ski camps in the United States.

• Located in nearby Sandisfield, the Sandisfield Arts Center hosts performances that attract audiences from all over Berkshire County as well as Boston and New York City.
  
  
• The center is housed in a historic building that formerly served as a Baptist meeting house for more than 80 years, plus another 75 as the only known rural orthodox synagogue on record in Massachusetts.
