Methuselah’s owner Yuki Cohen is an incredibly talented mixologist, proven by the success of her locally famous cocktail bar. Methuselah refers to themselves as “A parallel universe where all the world’s problems are solved through belly laughs, love, edible and quaffable works of art”
While specialty cocktails are a given, Methuselah keeps it interesting with a constant variety of events and live music every month. Some of the most notable being:
- Monday Night Jazz
- Wednesday night Karaoke
- Pride night on the first Thursday of every month
- Regular events like trivia and music bingo with DJ Pup Daddy – who plays all of your favorite tracks on vinyl
Methuselah also offers great food, my favorite item being their specialty charcuterie boards.
If you’re looking for some late night food, this is one of the only options (albeit a great choice!) with a kitchen open until 10:00. They also are the late night location of this list; they’re open until midnight six days a week.

If you’re a craft beer enthusiast, Hot Plate Brewing Co. is the place to be! Their ever-changing craft beer menu ensures that you’ll never tire of the same old beverages. As someone who enjoys IPAs, I truly appreciate the variety they offer with their extensive tap, all brewed in house. While Hot Plate Brewery may not offer food (though you can bring your own), their mission is clear: “Beer brings people together, which is why we’re working to make sure everyone feels like they have a seat at the table (or bar).”
